Whatsup everyone! I wanted to pass along the excellent news that the 13th annual CCART Art Show is upon us. For those of you that may not know the Cavallaro and Cleary Visual Art Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in support of visual arts. The primary goal is to provide scholarships to talented high school seniors residing on the Lower Eastern Shore of Delaware, Maryland & Virginia seeking continuing education at their school of choice in the study of Visual Art. CCART also provides a venue for regional artists and art students to sell their work at the annual CCART fundraising art sale. 30% of each sale from the show goes directly to the Cavallaro and Cleary Visual Art Foundation. I've participated in the show for the last 3 years and it's been a pleasure to be a part of. The variety of work available is so vast there's literally something for everyone. From painting & drawing to sculpture & crafts, something will surely catch your attention. I'm also very excited as I'll have available for the show an extremely limited edition one-of-a-kind print. I've team-up with Baltimore's Archival Arts to create a fine art print using high quality archival watercolor paper and archival inks - a process known as Giclée, which enables the print to maintain it's current appearance by never fading, yellowing or changing in anyway. This is also an "artist proof", very limited and fully matted & framed. I'm happy to say as well that the print is of a piece done for The Country, a series of true real-life short stories. If you'd like to know a little more about those you can visit previous posts here, here and right here. The reception for the show is this evening from 4-9pm with a Silent Auction from 4-8pm. It's was an absolutely wonderful time last year with wine, food, live music and of course, a bountiful display of artwork. And I imagine it'll be even better this year. All for the great cause of helping graduating high school students pursue the arts throughout college. Foundations like CCART are what enabled me to have the career that I myself enjoy today. Doesn't get any better than that. If you'd like to visit the CCART website for more info such as hours & dates you can do so by visiting www.CCARTFoundation.org. Come join us for the annual "Lucky 13" CCART Art Show & Sale. See you there! - Doug
