![]() This past Sunday was PLB Comics release party at Illusions and I have say, good times were certainly had. Comics, talking about about comics, sketching, pizza, and little teeny tiny delicious cupcakes (seriously they were like the size of a quarter). Can't get too much better than that. AND while we were there reporters Erin Traylor & Adrienne Price from The Flyer, Salisbury University's newspaper, came by and interviewed the local comic company. Pretty sweet, right? Here's a photo from the paper with the PLB fella's, as well as a shot my mug. If you'd like to read the full article on PLB check out all the goodness right here... Thanks again to the PLB crew for having me out!

![]() Just wanted to let you all know I've been asked by the great fellas of PLB Comics to join in on their release party! They'll be debuting they're latest issue, The Fall: Vengeance and Justice this Sunday, September 26 from 1-4pm at Illusions Games & Comics. There'll be plenty of comics, signings of such comics, portfolios of artwork, sketches sketched on-the-spot, and a drawing for two full-color prints. Craziness! Good times for certain! I've even heard rumors of a cage match in the parking lot (though that part may not be true... but you never know). Also, I'll be signing copies of my own comics, magazines, prints, and artwork. So stop by this Sunday for all the fun and possibly action-induced festivities! The address is below and if you're on the Facebook you can check out more info right here... Illusions Games & Comics 726 S. Salisbury Blvd # D Salisbury, MD 21801-5867 (410) 742-0172 ![]() I'm excited to announce that my piece "Too Expensive" has been accepted for the 19th annual National Juried Exhibition at the Art Institute & Gallery in Salisbury, MD. This is one of the AI&G's most prestigious shows of the year and I'm honored to be a part of it. To be chosen out of over 300 pieces submitted from around the country certainly makes an artist feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The variety of work in the show is tremendous as well (I was allowed a special sneak peek when I dropped off my piece), ranging from photorealistic and abstract oil paintings to pottery and sculpture. A fantastic show this is looking to be. The opening reception and award ceremony is this coming Sunday, Sept. 12th from 2-4 pm so please feel free to stop by, bask in the glory of the incredible artwork, and get your fix of cheese, fruit, and wine. If you have any questions you can contact the gallery via their website at www.aiandg.com or call at 410-546-4748 (or contact me, I'm a fairly friendly guy... as long as it's not a full moon that is). Also, the address is included below. Thanks all and see you at the show! Art Institute & Gallery 212 West Main Street Salisbury, MD 21801 Also, very quickly I just want to say congratulations to my good friend Rob Johnson of Amused Studios for having his piece "Sea Life in a Dream" selected as well. Kudos to you good sir! - D ![]() HELLO, do YOU work here? just hit stands TODAY! So madam, I do say RUN to your nearest local comic shop, DISREGARD any of the elderly that may block your path, KICK the doors wide open, SHOVE that pimple-face redhead freckly boy out of the way and GRAB yourself a copy. Or you can just call ahead and ask them to hold it for you... ya know, whichever you prefer. I like option "A" myself but that's just me. On a calmer note I just got my copy of the book in the mail the other day and it's a great little read. Wonderful to have just lying on the coffee table to get a quick chuckle out of whenever you sit down to relax. Great stuff indeed. And so a big thanks to Peter Simeti of Alterna Comics for having me involved, as well Christina Brown for writing such a fun story. |
